Beth Rykken has lived in Babbitt and the Birch Lake area for over 18 years. Having moved here from the Twin Cities, she can't imagine raising her family someplace else. Her and her husband Ron own Timber Bay Lodge and Houseboats on Birch Lake. They have two teenage daughters who are very active in the school, which in turns keeps Beth active both at the school and in the community.
